Geography Professor David Porinchu has been named a recipient of the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences Sandy Beaver for Excellence in Teaching Award. This annual honor is awarded to outstanding faculty members who show a sustained commitment to high-quality instruction, creativity in the development of new courses, external recognition for teaching accomplishments, and evidence of former students' accomplishments.
