Double Dawgs options

A Bachelor's Degree in Geography can be great preparation for a number of fields, including resource management, urban planning, public health, and environmental conservation. Students are often interested in using UGA's Double Dawgs program to use their geography major as a springboard to a Master's degree. Currently, the department has the following Double Dawgs pathways:

Students should be aware that the Geography MA and MS degrees are thesis degrees, meaning that to complete the program, students will need to develop a suitable and unique research projects and write an academic thesis presenting their findings. Double Dawgs students should have a preliminary plan for this project by the start of their fourth year of undergraduate study, developed in consultation with their graduate faculty advisor. Professional degrees, such as the MPA, do not require a thesis.

Students interested in these Double Dawgs programs can click on the "Express Your Interest" on the relevant programs page (see the links above). Faculty will follow up with more information.
