My research is broadly situated within the scope of political ecology and leverages geographic tools and perspectives to support environmental advocacy. I am especially passionate about protecting coastal resources and ecosystems, supporting the human communities that rely on them, and making sustainable solutions for coastal resilience more accessible and approachable for all. To that end, I integrate into my research my involvement with a statewide oyster shell recycling program, which repurposes food waste into green infrastructure (living shorelines) on Georgia’s coast.
