Marshall Shepherd, the Georgia Athletic Association Distinguished Professor of Geography and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Georgia, was recently named the 2022 SEC Professor of
Deepak Mishra, professor and associate head of the Department of Geography, was appointed by the University System of Georgia Board of Regents as the Merle C. Prunty, Jr. Professor in Geography.
Last year, Nik Heynen, professor in the Department of Geography, was named a Distinguished Research Professor at the University of Georgia.
