  • Optical/Radar Biophysical Modelling of Natural Resources
  • Predictive Environmental Modelling using AI
  • NLP and social media analysis within citizen science based environmental conservation projects
  • Satellite Image Processing and Automatic Feature Extraction
  • Open-source tools/algorithm development and deployment
CV:

I am a tech-geek and an environmentalist, constantly looking for ways to harness technology and AI to contribute towards environment conservation and preservation. A computer scientist at heart, I am particularly interested in studying and monitoring water quality of inland and coastal waterbodies on a global scale. My current research includes:

  • Estimating Sea Surface Salinity using Remote Sensing Data and Machine Learning Methods
  • Studying the TSS variation for water quality using remote sensing and machine learning 
  • Satellite-based cross calibration for very frequent large scale monitoring of cyanobacterial harmful algal blooms
  • Continuous Water Quality Monitoring on a Global Level
