I am a tech-geek and an environmentalist, constantly looking for ways to harness technology and AI to contribute towards environment conservation and preservation. A computer scientist at heart, I am particularly interested in studying and monitoring water quality of inland and coastal waterbodies on a global scale. My current research includes:

  • Estimating Sea Surface Salinity using Remote Sensing Data and Machine Learning Methods
  • Continuous Water Quality Monitoring on a Global Level
  • PhD in Geography (Current)
    University of Georgia
    • Area of focus: Remote Sensing and Geo-AI
  • M.Tech in Remote Sensing & Geo-Information Sciences (2021)
Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, ISRO
    • Specialization: Satellite Imagery Processing and Photogrammetry
    • Thesis: Automated Feature Extraction from High Resolution Remotely Sensed Imagery using Object-based Fully Convolutional Networks and Cyclical Learning
  • B.Tech in Computer Engineering (2019)
Charotar University of Science and Technology
    • Electives: Digital Image Processing and Artificial Intelligence
    • Thesis: Text Classification and Context Mining for Document Summarization using Weakly Supervised Techniques
