Urban Geospatial Analytics Lab

Images of detailed maps

Our Mission - The UrGA research lab is dedicated to investigating cities and human dynamics in urban environments. We develop and apply cutting-edge geospatial techniques, machine learning/artificial intelligence, network science, and visual analytical methods in the pursuit of a deeper understanding of the interactions between human dynamics and the intricate fabric of urban social, infrastructural, and public health subsystems. The UrGA research leverages a diverse array of location-based big data sources, complemented by traditional GIS and RS data products, to examine spatial patterns and relationships and to develop predictive models based on complex relationships.

Our Projects

• Human mobility and spatial interactions

• E-mobility – developing a smart and scalable network of EV charging stations

• Spatiotemporal patterns

• Public health and the association with geographic context factors

• Measuring health disparity
